Phil Trainor, originally from Belfast, has been a professional musician since 2004. After playing guitar and singing in several bands as a hobby he decided to make a living out of playing music and moved to Torrevieja on the Costa Blanca, Spain, where he quickly made a name for himself as one of the most versatile performers on the Costa.
A popular performer around the pubs, clubs, theatres and festivals; Phil is a multi instrumentalist and can turn his hand to most types of music from popular to his own material. His instruments include Guitar, Harmonica, Tin Whistle, Banjo Mandolin and Bodhran (Irish Drum). Folk music and Irish in particular remains Phil's main influence although he does admit to being an audience driven entertainer.

"Plain & Simple" Phil’s debut album is completely self written. As the title suggests this is an album with a simple approach. Not wanting to detract from lyrics - no fancy studio tricks were used.
This album has been described as “organic sounding” and “reminiscent of early Dylan”.
"FBI (Full Blooded Irish" Due to popular demand Phil’s second album comprises of Irish music from the up-beat ballad to the haunting sound of the Irish low whistle.
"The Mi Sol Sessions" This is an extremely laid back album comprising of a mixture of Phil’s own work and several covers. A beautiful warm sound acts as the cohesive for a wide range of music from Traditional Irish to Jimmy Hendrix.
"Live at The Rocajuna" Recorded live at the English Folk Club in The Rocajuna Bar on the Costa Blanca. This gig was filmed but didn´t really capture the mood of the evening but after listening to the audio it seemed to work. Either way I think it´s a good record, all be it wharts and all.
Phil originally from Belfast has spent the last ten years or so traveling and playing music in pubs, clubs and street corners all around the world. He plays a wide range of music from up-beat Irish and classics from the 50s & 60s to modern hits, all delivered with an unplugged feel and a sense of humor. Folk music is his main influence and his instruments include Acoustic Guitar, Harmonica, Tin Whistle, and Bodhran. An example of Phil's own music can be found on his debut solo album "Plain & Simple". Due to popular demand Phil has also recorded a selection of Irish music on his latest album "FBI (Full Blooded Irish)."
